Scene of the Crime – Scott D Peters

Scene of the Crime is a True Crime special series featured on NBC Chicago's digital & OTT platforms. I was the design lead for the project which involved creating the show look, title open & digital in-platform ad tiles.

After playing around with different type layouts this variant of the title was finally chosen. The type was filtered through a displacement map with a dirt overlay to depict the nature of a crime scene. Imperfect, displaced and jarring.

Due to a rapid turnaround time and also dealing with the technical hurdles of the lockdown a motion template had to be utilized for the show open and on-air promo making my role for this project more of a Motion Producer, focusing on shot selection, environmental overlays, music selection and typography.
